Y’all, I’m so glad to see you.
This “Nothing Found” thing that has happened over the last week has had me up at night.
WordPress.org vs. WordPress.com.
So, I just undid what I apparently did wrong and now we’re back in business.
I’ve missed you.
On Fridays, I join up with Lisa-Jo Baker and her 5 Minute Friday prompt.
Hundreds of us write for five minutes flat-no editing, no over thinking and no backtracking.
And, because I’m being honest, try as a may, I tend to write longer than five minutes. Forgive this little perfectionist heart.
Today’s Topic: STORY
I’ve been writing in one way or another as long as I can remember.
In high school, I’d try to tap out some poetry usually along the theme of new love, heartbreaking love and I’m kicking you to the curb love.
When Danny and I started dating, I wrote a journal of letters to him throughout our relationship.
I gave it to him on our wedding day.
But, I suppose it wasn’t until he got hurt that I began writing a bigger story, our life story.
I began to find my voice and a purpose in writing it all down for the world wide web to see.
My story isn’t better, harder or more important than yours.
We all have a story to tell, whether we talk about it or write about it, or merely keep it to ourselves.
Warriors, you recognize this by your own journey and the burdens you help to ease listening to others’ heartaches.
Everyone has their cross to bear. Everyone has their story to tell.
In our stories, though they vary, we find camaraderie and community. We laugh with one another and cry along side each other.
We make friends.
This is why we share. This is why we write. This is why we tell our stories over and over and over again.
Though we do not understand the life story we live, we know that just as the Creator paints creates the masterpiece of our mess, He also authors our life story for His glory.
Walk in that promise. Write in it. Live in it.
Tell your story too.
